Another Wonderful Weekend!

On Saturday we went to Howth, which is a seaside city just outside of Dublin. We took the DART on the 30 minute ride to Howth. It was only about 4 euros for the round trip, which wasn't bad. We were scared on the drive because it was raining really hard and we had forgotten our umbrellas! By the time we got to Howth is was about noon and FREEZING! It was so windy and cold and the majority of the people stayed inside at shops. But a few of us walked on the pier and froze as we checked out the Irish Sea! Then we went inside and all had lunch. By the time we were out, the weather was sunny and PERFECT! We really lucked out! We went on a hike for over two hours on the cliff trail. This was by far the most beautiful thing in Ireland I've seen. The water is so blue and gorgeous, and the land just green EVERYWHERE!

When we rode the DART back to the city we met my roommate and some of her friends at a pub where we watched a rugby match. The game is really similar to American football, so I was able to follow it with a little help from them :) Lisa is going to take me to a live rubgy game sometime this year! After a few drinks and the end of the game, we headed back home and ended the night at a party off campus.

On Sunday Lisa, Caroline, and I went to the Guinness Storehouse and got a tour of the place! It was seven stories high and we were there for the majority of the day! We got a free pint at the end of tour and drank it at the Gravity Bar on the top floor. It had a beautiful view of Dublin and freshly brewed guinness. What more could a girl ask for?! :)

Once again a very successful weekend!!

  1. Looks beautiful!! I love how you email me your plans, and spell the words according to how you hear the locals say it. And then you learn the real way to spell it, and it's way different! Get what I'm saying? I'm sure you do.
